Imma Halo X Metroid kinda guy. xD
1) Nintendo just plain wouldn't do it! why bother? Metroid already rakes in the cash, so why split the profit with bungie? they still have link and mario to call upon if times get tough.
2) it would be too damn hard for MC if it was set in the Metroidverse and it'd be too damn easy for Samus in the Haloverse.
3) they're two completely different genres, Metroid is platformer / First Person Adventure with tonnes of exploration and backtracking, while Halo is the average FPS with linear gameplay where the most exploration is finding a skull on each level. needless to say, if any of these were left out it would dissapoint millions of fans.
in summarisation, it is nothing more than a dream. face reality and deal with it.
the closest we'll ever come to it is Haloid and even then that nerfs down Samus to the point where her fans cry and it powers up Chief to the point where his fanboys orgasm.
i'm just thinking in the real world.
I'd buy it!
